Our precious baby girl is two today! When she woke up we took her upstairs to measure her height on the door frame. Something we started doing with all four of our monsters when we moved in our home. I can hardly believe how much she has grown over the last year!We threw her a Wizard of Oz themed birthday party today (pictures of party decorations are going to be in a separate blog). We all had an amazing time celebrating her special day with our closest friends and family. After unnecessarily changing her out of her fancy dress into her wizard of oz shirt (and of course leaving her ruby slippers on), she took her sweet time eating her cupcake and didn’t make the slightest mess. We facetimed her paw-paw when we sang happy birthday to her and while she opened her presents so he didn’t miss her party. Of course both her Maw-Maw & her Grandma loved watching her with her cupcake and presents too.Our little family has been blessed with the most special memories over the last two years all thanks to this little spitfire that we simply adore!She is always full of surprises for us as she explores & learns new things. I’m just in awe of her ever growing vocabulary. Of course today was no exception. When an older child at her party attempted to grab one of her new birthday gifts she yelled out “mine” for the first time. Seems she hasn’t fully grasped the whole concept of sharing just yet. She did however happily share some of her other new books, babies, and hand puppets with her sisters, cousins, and friends. This little doll face really enjoyed her special day and I am so thankful I was able to enjoy every moment of it with her.
