Jen must really love me if she was willing to bring us to the airport at 4:45am this morning! It was a very early start to a rather long day. However after a short layover in Baltimore we made it to Boston.
Our first stop after getting our rental car was for lunch and where else but Wahlburgers? I of course was a fan of NKOTB when I was about eleven, and even took our oldest daughter to see them a few years ago while on tour. But Matt and I have since enjoyed their reality show and thought it would be fun. We shared the “Donnie’ s favorite”.
Afterwards we checked out the amazon book store that was across the parking lot. Then we drove about 15 minutes away north of Boston to the little suburb town of Woburn to our hotel on Unicorn Park Drive. After quickly settling into our home for the week we decided to get out and explore this little town a bit. But first, coffee please, after all we started our day before 4am. Relying on GPS we ended up a mile away at a Starbucks in the adorable little town of Winchester. As we walked up to the starbucks which was also next door to a Dunkin Donuts (seriously no shortage of DD up north) I spotted a little coffee shop across the street “The Fuller Cup”. That’s where we headed. Any coffee shop that can survive next to two huge chain competitors has our business in a heartbeat. Such a quaint little coffee house with delicious sugar free iced lattes, we’ve found our coffee shop for the next week! After getting to know the staff for a bit, we took our coffee and left the car behind and started walking around.
I fell in love with this town. We stumbled upon another little book store and grabbed our girls some goodies. Dropped in at a locally owned little pizza shop and ordered a small pizza to bring back to our room. Seriously, I’ve always been given the impression that northerners are sort of rude, I’d have to say I disagree. So far everyone we’ve come in contact with has been friendly. Back to our room for a quiet evening before we wake up early and get on the road!
