Our girls are both in elementary school. But because Mad is in Pre-K she is going to a different school this year. This afternoon as we all talked about their day at school Mad overheard me remind Aub that tomorrow is pajama day at her school. Mad didn’t say anything then, but about an hour later she came to me telling me she forgot to tell me something. “Tomorrow is actually pajama day at my school too!”, interesting a pajama day at two local elementary schools in one day? Mind you this lil one LOVES all of her superhero pjs. She often gets home from school and instantly throws a pair on. We have ran countless errands over the last year or so with this pajama wearing kiddo before she started school. But something told me to check. So I told her I would email her teacher to be sure before I sent our little super hero to school tomorrow, since I didn’t see anything in her school bag about it. All evening she kept asking if I had heard from her teacher yet. I did, after she had gone to sleep already. Her teacher’s response: “It is NOT pajama day at school. Please tell her I said nice try 🙂 I love that kid.” I have to agree with her teacher, I love that kid too! She is not going to be a happy camper tomorrow morning when she finds out she can’t wear her’s to school like her big sister even if she can put them on when she gets home. Not an ounce of doubt she wasn’t trying to pull a fast one on me. I think after overhearing Aub and I talking about it earlier she made herself think her teacher had mentioned it. She is only four years old after all. And as much as this munchkin loves her pjs that would be an exciting day for her. Looks like Saturday will need to be a pajama day for our little super hero. God I adore this child!
